Component isn't displaying on website
If a expected feature (Offer Rotator, CTA, etc.) fails to display on the website storefront, proceed through the following steps to verify that the component has been properly enabled and configured.
Please note: Only "Admin" users can access components. If you need "Admin" access, please talk to an existing "Admin" user on your account, or contact your ARI representaive.
- Go to the Components Library and verify that the component is enabled
- In the ARI CMS, go to Admin > Account > Components and look for the component in the Active Components tab
- If the component is not listed, check the Inactive Components tab
- if the component is not listed, contact your ARI representative to have the component added to your library.
- Check the Component Page Rules
- Go to the component, click the settings gear, and review the page rules setting.
- If there is no page rule, the component is set to be included on all web pages
- If the page rule that is applied is "Only Available on" followed by a page name, the component is set to display on the page that is shown
- There can be multiple page rules applied to a single component. The component should display on any page name that has a rule of "Only Available on"
- If the page rule that is applied is "Not Available on" followed by a page name, the component is set to NOT display on the page that is shown, but to show on all other pages
- There can be multiple page rules applied to a single component. The component should not display on any page name that has a rule of "Not Available on"
- Go to the component, click the settings gear, and review the page rules setting.
- Check the Component Section Rules
- Go to the component, click the settings gear, and review the section rules setting.
- If there is no section rule, click "+ Add a section for your component to live in.", select "Allows other components in section", and choose the section (Header, Main Content, Footer, etc.) that the component should display. save and publish changes.
- If the section rule applied is "Allows other components in section" and the component isn't showing on the website, it's possible that a different component with the same page rules has a section rule of "Only component in section". Look through the library of active components for any that are set to display on the same page, then check that the section rules for those components are set to "Allows other components in section"
- Go to the component, click the settings gear, and review the section rules setting.
- Check the Rows Settings
- In the ARI CMS, go to Admin > Account > Rows
- Select the page layout that applies to your component.
- The Home page layout will be named Index_Theme (or a similar name) and page layout for all other web pages will typically be Default_Theme (or a similar name)
- Go to the section that corresponds to the section rule set on the component (typically Header, Main Content, Footer) and look for the component
- If the component is assigned to a row within the section, make sure that the "Class" field doesn't include a class that might be specifically hiding the component (Example: col-xs-hidden)
- If you're not familar with adding or removing classes, you can submit your requested changes to updates@arinet.com
- If the component is assigned to a row, it contains no classes that might be hiding it, and it's still not displaying, please contact your ARI representative or ARI Support
