Match the entry in the Rewrite Index

If you wrote an original piece that you would like added to the index, feel free to send it to Lyra and she will add it to the index and update the file name accordingly.

Many of the keywords have synonyms (for example: ATV, quad, four-wheeler) and many of the topics have synonyms (for example: benefits, why buy, ideal owner).

Matching to the Rewrite index entry ensures consistency in file naming leading to proper grouping of like-topics.

If there is no index entry yet, use the format of “Keyword - Topic”.

Keyword = Type of Page

Topic = Local Page location, State Abbreviation

Dealer content doesn’t go off of keywords. Instead, the pages are categorized by their type: About Us, Service, Parts, and Local.

For local pages, the “topic” is replaced by the location with the state abbreviation. For example: Local - Portland, OR

For OEM Pagefooters:

  • Do not include any trademark symbols in the file name

  • Do “Make - Model”

    • For example: “Forest River - Travel Trailer” or “Forest River - Wolf Pup RVs”

  • If it’s an OEM piece about the brand broadly, do “Make - Overview”.

    • For example: “Forest River - Overview” or “Polaris - Overview”

(Dealer Name: State Abbreviation)

This is the same across the types of content. Simply put the dealer’s name (as it is entered in Salesforce) at the end of the file name. Then, add a “:” and do the state abbreviation(s).

Match how the dealer’s name is in Salesforce, then add the state abbreviation for their location(s).

Some of our dealers have very similar names. Including the dealer’s state in the file name helps us easily catch if a document accidentally gets put in the wrong dealer folder.
