What It Is

Original

Writer created the piece from scratch, meaning there was no existing up-to-date rewrite available to use.

Researching a topic, understanding it, and then deciding how to format the piece takes a significant amount of time before the writing itself can begin.

Rewrite

Writer created the piece using an existing piece as a resource, meaning no additional research was needed.

AI

Writer utilized an Artificial Intelligence tool to assist with some aspect of the writing process, such as topic idea generation, research, formatting, writing, or rewriting. The AI tool is not able to do the complete process from start to finish, but is rather a tool in a writer’s toolkit for completing work.

UFG

Writer used an “Up for Grabs” piece, which is an already-created piece. This still requires editing what has already been written, fact checking any claims made, as well as writing.

At the bare minimum, the writer had to add the dealer name, locations, and any rep-requested secondary keywords. Often, the writer has to add an introduction paragraph and a conclusion paragraph. Sometimes, the writer also has to add another header section or two in order to meet word count.

MM

Stands for “Mail Merge”, shorthand for the AI Tool Reina made

Similar to an “Up for Grabs” piece, the writer will need to edit what’s already been written, fact check claims made, ensure the piece includes the dealer’s name, physical location, target location, and any secondary keywords.
