How To: Update Dealer Info

The “Dealer Info” section provides information to our content writers that they would otherwise not know and not be able to research (like they can with generic information, such as the types of RVs).

This information is specific to the dealership and is provided by the dealer themselves.

 

An Overview

1. Locate the Dealer’s Intake Form, which will be in one of two locations

  1. Pull up the Dealer in Salesforce

  2. Go to “Related List Quick Links”

  3. Click “Fulfillment Requests”

  4. In the “Fulfillment Type Picklist”, look for the package type (such as DS SEO Gold). Open the corresponding “Fulfillment Request Name”

  5. Scroll down to “Fulfillment Tasks” and click on “CS Team - Perform CS Intake”

    1. It helps to sort “Fulfillment Task Name” in order of oldest to newest, which will put the “CS Team - Perform CS Intake” task up towards the top of the section

  6. Click “Related”

  7. In the “Files” section, there would be a document uploaded that is the intake form.

2. Copy the Dealer Info Template

3. Open the Dealer’s Ongoing Fulfillment Chatter

4. Create a Post (not a comment)

5. Fill out the Dealer Info Template, using the information provided in the Intake Form

Optional - Peruse the dealer’s website and see if there is any information there that can be included, such as more in-depth information about their financing options or the dealer’s history

6. Delete any old OF Chatter Dealer Info post created before the dealer’s intake form was completed, created with an old dealer info template, etc.

7. Update the dealer’s entry in the Content Update Spreadsheet

Name

Located: Question 1 of Intake

This is the exact spelling from the client regarding how they want their dealership name written.

Physical Location(s)

Located: Dealer’s Account, Address Information, Physical Address section.

This is where the dealer is physically located. Be sure to write out the city and state.

This allows writers to Copy-Paste, rather than deal with decoding state abbreviations (which are harder to remember than you might think).

Target Location - Primary

Located: Question 7 of Intake

This is the most important target location for the dealer. It’s also the location that should be used when making Title Tags. Be sure to write out the city and state.

It may or may not be the same as the dealer’s physical location.
