How To: Create UFG Dealer Content (WIP)

Some of the Dealer Content we create becomes Up for Grabs eligible, but it will need adjusting first.

The Goal: Maximize efficiency by…

  • Letting writers avoid needing to think about what to double check since it’s already noted for them in the document

  • Letting the writers avoid needing to think about what additional dealer offerings may need to be added to that specific UFG since it’s already noted for them in the document

  • Letting the writers avoid needing to located places to add the dealer’s name, physical location, and target location since it’s already noted for them in the document

  • Letting the writers avoid needing to do any format editing with headers, spacing, etc. since it is already done for them

“About Us” UFG Editing

  • add the blurb at the top for word count, unused sections, etc

  • highlight the dealer name and locations

  • add a comment for any things that a dealer might not offer and in the comment say to confirm the dealer does/offers/is/etc. that

    • new products

    • used products

    • parts

    • service

    • financing

    • statements about dealer like family-owned and operated

  • Add any sections in the confluence about us guide missing from the UFG

    • add the ## and the header title

    • add a comment to the above with the link to that part of the confluence guide (such as the link directly to the financing section for the header about financing

  • Change the file name to [VERTICAL] Dealership - About Us (UFG)

  • do pre-highlighted phrases for things like authorized dealer for, most important products, etc to match the dealer intake survey and make sure those are added to the UFG edited pages

“Local” UFG Editing

  • Cut-then-paste the section about the specific location

  • Add it to a document titled [VERTICAL] Dealership - Local - [City, State Abbreviation] (UFG) Partial

  • Go back to the original document and change the file name to [VERTICAL] Dealership - About Us (UFG)
