Sitemap Page: Adding Links to your Sitemap (HTML & XML)
Your website's Sitemap page, and Sitemap XML, automatically include your website's system and custom pages. But there are variations of pages, like Search Results, where only one instance of that page is present in the Sitemap. This article shows you how to add variations of such pages to your Sitemap.
Please Note: You must be a Dealer Administrator in order to make these configurations.
- In the ARI CMS, go to Admin > Account > Components
- Scroll to the Sitemap Component and click the gear icon
- Under the area labeled Add Relative URL...
- Enter the title for the page, as you want it to display on the sitemap (Example: John Deere Riding Mowers)
- Enter the RELATIVE URL for the page. (Example: /search/inventory/brand/John%20Deere/class/Riding)
- Note: The RELATIVE URL is the link to the page MINUS your domain name and TLD
- Example: If the page URL is www.yourdomain.com/search/inventory/brand/John%20Deere/class/Riding, remove www.yourdomain.com from that path before pasting it into the field
- Note: The RELATIVE URL is the link to the page MINUS your domain name and TLD
- Click the green + button
- Repeat steps a through c for each page that you wish to add
- Once done, scroll down and select Save
- Publish Changes. The additional page references will be added to both your Sitemap page and your website's XML sitemap.
