Blog Editor Overview

If the Blog Tool has been enabled on your account and your ARI CMS user role is “Dealer-Admin” or “Dealer-Blog Editor”, you can access the Blog Editor as follows:

  1. In the ARI CMS menu, select Admin > Account.

  2. On the Account page, go to Sites. Within the Sites section, select Editors.

  3. On the page that follows, an icon with your ARI facility ID will display. Hover over that icon and select Content.

  4. Select Blog Editor

  5. If you have previous blog posts in the system, they will display in a list (See image example). A previous post can be edited by clicking on it. To create a new post, select + New.

Adding/Editing Posts

Once you’ve opened the Blog Editor, the following content can be added and saved. You also have the option to save as a draft, publish the post immediately, or have the post published on a future date. This overview shows the available fields and a description of how they’re used.

A. Post Title (Required): This title displays on both the Blog List and Blog Post pages. On the Blog Post page, it is the H1 title for the page.

B. HTML Title: The value entered here is used for the post’s HTML title

C. Slug (Required): This is the path that is added to the Blog URL (\blog\…). We recommend pasting the “Post Title” into this field. (Important: Do not include special characters in the Slug, as this will cause the post to not display on the website.

D. Full Text: Enter the text and image content of the blog article. Users can manage this through the WYSIWYG editor or by directly writing HTML.

E. Short Description: This is the teaser content that displays on the Blog List page. There is a 500 character limit.

F. Featured Image: Drag and Drop the graphics file that will display as the primary image for your post on both the Blog List page and the Blog Post.

G. Alt Tag: Enter the Alt tag that will apply to the featured image

H. Meta Description: Enter the Meta description that best defines the blog article

I. Meta Keywords: Enter the Meta keywords that apply to the blog post

J. Category: Enter the category that best fits this post

K. Tags: Enter categorical tags to your post, to help users filter to your content.
