Google Ads Verification
To create a more transparent advertising experience for everyone, we’ve started asking all advertisers to verify their identities. Once you’re verified, your ads will include disclosures listing the advertisers’ name and location, building people’s trust in the ad content they see.

List of advertisers that require verification
There are two steps required to verify an account. The first phase is to verify the advertising agency (Dealer Spike or ARI). The second phase is to verify the client as a business. While the most simple approach is to verify the client as an individual business owner, Google will sometimes reject the submission and ask the client to verify the business as an organization instead.
To begin the verification process for a client, click Verify in the action column.
Click Get Started.
Answer these questions as follows:
Is your organization an advertising agency? | Yes |
Who do you want to verify today? | A Client |
Does your agency pay for this client’s account? | Yes, we pay for this account |
Where's your client located? | Verify the client’s address and choose country. |
Does your client advertise their own products/services, or someone else’s? | They advertise others' products/services |
What's your client's industry (or industries)? | See Below |

Click Save & Continue.
On the next page, you will see that you have verified the agency. Now you will have to verify the client as an individual.
Click Get Started.
Answer these questions as follows:
Is your or your client’s account a Google Ad Grants account? | No |
Do you or your client intend to run election ads? | No |
Are you an agency or third party paying for your client’s ads? | Yes |
Does your company or agency own the Payments profile for this account? | Yes |
Has your “Account type” in your Google Ads payments profile been set to “Organization” (formerly called “Business”)? | Yes |
A new set of fields will be generated:
You can find the client’s Google Ads Customer ID on header of the previous page.
The next question will ask if you are verifying the client as an Organization or an Individual.
Select Individual person, then fill out the form with the dealership’s owner’s first name and last name.
Use the dealership’s street address, city, and zip code.
It is important to use the dealership owner’s name for individual verification. This information may be different from the contact information found in the CRM.
Click Submit.
If verifying as an individual has failed, you can attempt to verify as an Organization by following these steps:
Follow the instructions above until you are asked to verify as an organization or an individual. Select Organization.
In this window, you will enter the information in fields with an asterisk.
The Advertiser Name must match the document that you will submit as the Advertiser Registration Document. The documents you will ask for are the same ones as laid out in the Advertiser Verification Email Template (Outreach) guide.
After you have filled out the required fields, click Submit.
