Checking & Making QA corrections

This SOP is a work in progress. If you notice anything that is out of date, could be more clear, or could be more efficient please update the SOP or add a comment to start a conversation.

Purpose

Quality Assurance (QA) corrections are done to ensure that we are delivering high-value, errorless work to our clients. Doing so creates credibility and a good user experience for our sites.

Procedure

Inputs:

First, we need to open our QA Trello board!

  • Look for the column with your name listed at the top.

  • Scroll through your client cards to find the client in need of corrections.

Helpful hint: Or you can jump directly to the client card by using “cltrl + f” to search for the client’s name and go directly to their card.

Here are the scenarios you’ll see on your cards, and what to do when you see them:

1. QA Complete label and a Due Date

  • Corrections needed.

    • Make any changes noted by QA.

    • After making corrections, check the Due Date box.

    • The Due Date box should now have a green “complete” label.

2. QA Complete label and All Good label

  • No corrections needed.

    • Good to go; no action needed.

3. Re-Submit label and a Due Date

  • Corrections needed and the card must be re-submitted for further QA.

    • Make any changes noted by QA.

    • After making corrections, check the Due Date box.

    • The Due Date box should now have a green “complete” label.

    • Click “Move” under the “Actions” menu on the right-hand side.

    • Click “List” under the “Select destination” menu.

    • Select “QA Resubmissions”

    • Click “Move”

    • The card should now be in the QA Resubmissions column.

4. Juniper label and a QA Complete or Re-Submit label

  • Corrections needed by Wilsonville rep and Juniper rep.

    • Make any changes noted by QA.

    • After making corrections, click “Move” under the “Actions” menu on the right-hand side.

    • Click “List” under the “Select destination” menu.

    • Select “Juniper”

    • Click “Move”

    • The card should now be in the Juniper column.

Helpful hint: Do NOT check the Due Date box.

Now we’re going to mark this task as complete.

  • Add a “1” in the QA Corrections Completed column.

Outputs:

  • QA corrections are complete.

  • The monthly sheet is marked off with a “1” for this customer.

FAQs

  • “.5” in the QA Completed column means that the SEO rep's onsite optimization QA is complete, and the QA team just hasn't gotten anything from Juniper. Reps can still perform corrections just as if the column was marked with a “1.”

Should I remove the Due Date box at the end of the month?

No, the Due Date boxes remain on the card until the QA team performs their next review of the work for that client, at which point they will update it or remove it.

Should I remove any labels from the card at the end of the month?

No, you will never need to remove or add any labels on the cards. The QA team will take care of that each month.
