Juniper SEO Quarterly Report Tasks

The new SEO quarterly reports allow us to show data and campaign progress to our clients over a quarter-to-quarter timeline. These reports will be built just like our monthly reports with doing work inside of Google Sheets. All the data should be already located in the client sheets we are simply moving and manipulating it around the client sheet. If certain things are missing, contact the SEO Rep responsible for the client.

There are 2 tasks for juniper to complete to make these reports function properly.

  1. Import work done into the new Quarterly Work Done Import tab on the client sheets
  2. Label future keyword focus’ in the DS Import tab

Quarterly Work Done Import

Let's start with compiling the quarterly work done. Locate the Quarterly Work Done Import tab on the client sheet. It should be at the end of the list. If it isn’t present, you can copy it from the master client sheet template here

Once you’ve located the tab, clear all the information on it so it looks like this.

The first column are dates for Ninjacat so don't worry about those.

Now we can start populating this tab with data.

Locate the first month of the quarter, in this case, January, in the SEO Work Done tab.

Next, we will URLs from the Work Done URL and Juniper Work Done columns.

We will take each URL for this month and move it to the Quarterly Work Done Import tab under Column E labeled Link

Next, we have to label the data we just put in.

Under Column B labeled Month, we want to put which month this work was completed in.

Under Column C labeled Content Type, we want to put what type of content it is. For example, either, Inventory list page, Blog post, Pagefooter, or Showroom. These are the main 4 you will see.

Finally, under Column D labeled Focus, you want to put what the keyword focus was for each link.

Afterward you should have something like this.

Each month can have up to 4 links and rows.

Complete this same task for the remaining 2 months of the quarter to have a final product like this.

As mentioned above, if URLs or focus’ are missing, contact the SEO Rep.

Labeling Keywords

The next task for juniper is the completion of the 6 month plan by labeling keywords in the DS Import tab. This process is very similar to the first month's report.

First, we need to reference the 6 month plan that was created by the SEO Rep. Navigate to the Work Done Import tab. Under this tab, the SEO rep should have a completed 6 month plan that also has the current month. Like this:

If any months are missing or no focus has been assigned, reach out to the SEO Rep to have them complete it.

For each month's focus, we want to label keywords related to the focus with the corresponding month group name. Don't worry about the keyword ranks. We want keywords with SEARCH VOLUME when possible. The month labeled First Month can be left out of this task since it is only for the future 6 months and not the current month. For example, in the screenshot above, KTM was our focus keyword for the month of July. So go into the DS Import tab and label 3-5 keywords with the group tag of July. Like this:

Complete this task for the remaining months all the way down to the month labeled Seventh Month

Here is a video tutorial of this task:

After this, the SEO Quarterly Report should be ready to run in Ninjacat.
