Image Overrides

Image Overrides allow you to change the product image that is provided in the aftermarket catalog or, add an image to a product that is missing a product image altogether. This feature grants you the ability to Import externally hosted image URLs for each MPN by way of CSV file.

It also enables you to Export every single Image Override that you have in the E-Commerce Configuration at once.

To begin with, browse to File Center from the main navigation bar.

Step 1 - Download Template

On the left-hand menu under Price Overrides, click "Client: Import Image Overrides".

Download the Compatible File Template which is in the blue hyperlink. Open the File Template from your computer.

Step 2 - Populate Template with Data

Open the csv file that you just downloaded. This template has two (2) columns. Below we offer an explanation of what each column header represents.

DistributorPart.distributor_sku

The SKU from the distributor but in the E-Commerce Configuration’s format with the proper prefix. TR, WP, AU, etc.

If you are unsure what the correct format or prefix is please visit this article pertaining to the Aftermarket Catalog and distributor prefixes.

Technically Image Overrides are on the MPN or Product Level, however, dealers don't always have access to an MPN list form the distributors so we allow you to override the image by Distributor SKU and then we apply it to the MPN. You only need to override one SKU for each MPN to get the job done.

ImageOverride.image

Here we just need a valid image URL. To make sure that your externally hosted images are in compliance with marketplace requirements you will want to have them as HTTPS and not HTTP.

Step 3 - Upload Your Data

When you click "Client: Import Image Overrides" you will see "Choose File" next to File Upload. Click this button to locate the file on your computer. Double click your file and it will be ready to go.

Enter your email address if you want to be notified when the job is complete. (optional).

Click Submit

Step 4 - Monitor Job Processing

You will want to monitor the job that you just ran in File Center as it will be in a Pending or Processing status until the system has completed it. These jobs typically take 30-60 minutes depending on the size of the csv file.

Once finished you will see it Completed or Complete w/ Warnings. Click on the job and you will have access to a Processing Report. Open the report and the success or failure of each line item will be reported.
