Finding Keywords in GSC
You can utilize Google Search Console to identify potential keyword candidates that you can implement on-site.
Important Note
You must be logged into one of the digital marketing Chrome profiles in order to access Google Search Console.
Review the following process for finding keywords within GSC:
After you enter GSC, go to the search bar (highlighted in blue) to search for the particular client. You must type the dealership URL here.
Once you have entered into the client’s profile, click on “Performance” (highlighted in green).
Scroll down to find the “Queries” (highlighted in red) to examine the keywords that generate impressions for the dealership.
Most of the keywords here may list branded keywords (keywords that feature the dealership’s name). Websites often automatically rank highly for their name.
If you select “Pages” instead of “Queries,” you can discover all of the webpages that are indexed for the website. By clicking on a page listed here, you can then select “Queries” again to see what keywords that page ranks for. Keywords with high impressions are valuable to add to a keyword list since that indicates that have search interest.
