Troubleshooting problems with your Marine industry inventory feed
Setup Requirements
If you have subscribed to an inventory feed under the Marine industry (BoatTrader.com, Boats.com, iBoats.com, etc.) and your inventory is not being published as expected, please verify that the following conditions have been met:
- You have subscribed to the feed through your ARI representative.
You must have an existing account with the sales channel/publisher that allows you to post unlimited ads.
- If the sales channel that you have subscribed to charges a setup fee, you must pay that fee to the sales channel/publisher. Please note: ePro dealers who move to the Endeavor website platform do not have to pay a setup fee to BoatTrader/Boats.com, provided that they had previously paid a setup fee to enable the BoatTrader/Boats.com feed for their ePro website.
Industry Designation and Equipment Types
In order for an inventory unit to be accepted in the BoatTrader.com, Boats.com or iBoats.com feeds, the following conditions apply:
- In Command Center Inventory Manager (Command Center >> Store >> Inventory Manager >> Add/Edit Unit Inventory), the Industry must be designated as Marine
- In Command Center Inventory Manager (Command Center >> Store >> Inventory Manager >> Add/Edit Unit Inventory), the Equipment Type must be designated as Boat or Pontoon
Required Fields
To ensure that an inventory unit will be accepted in any given Marine feed, please verify that viable values are entered into the following fields in Command Center Inventory Manager (Command Center >> Store >> Inventory Manager >> Add/Edit Unit Inventory):
A. Industry: This value must be set to Marine B. Manufacturer C. Equipment Type: This value must be Boats or Pontoons D. Style E. Year F. Model G Stock Number H. VIN (HIN) I. New/Used J. Base Price
