Add a New Listing Page

Add a New Listing Page

Although the site comes with many listing pages that are already set up to show specific conditions and products, dealers will often want to set up a new listing page to display certain units. This article details how to add a new listing page and how to use the filters accordingly.

Creating the Page

To create a new listing page, right click on the domain node or folder that you want to create the listing page inside of.

In the menu that has just popped up, click “create”.

Click “Listing Page”

Give the page a name and hit save. Note that the page must have a name before it can be saved.

Note that a new listing page will show all new and used units by default. You will need to update the listing parameters on the “listing” tab in order to filter which units are to be shown on the new listing page.

Adjusting Filter Parameters

Once the listing page is created, you will need to adjust the filters in the “Listing” tab to show the correct units. Please note that there are some limitations on what filters we can use on these pages and what we can display. We can not display a list of units by stock number. In those situations, we recommend the dealer have a unit tag created, so they can tag the specific units they want to show.

Common Filters on Listing Pages

  • Condition - this determines if New, Used, or both can show on the page.

  • Manufacturer - this determines what manufacturer(s) will show on the page. Multiple entries can be added into this list. However, please note that a manufacturer that is not in stock can not be added to the list, and it will be removed from the list if that manufacturer is no longer in stock, so dealers can not set a page to show specific manufacturers and expect it to stay that way, unless they continually keep those manufacturers in stock.

  • Brand - Similarly to Manufacturer, this allows brand or brands to be listed off to show on the page. It’s also important to note that we cannot utilize a mixture of manufacturers and brands when filtering – if we add Airstream as a manufacturer, and Wolf Pup (Forest River) as a brand, the page will be looking for Airstream Wolf Pups, which do not exist.

  • Year - this determines what year the units showing belong to. Please note that units older than the current year and the upcoming year are grouped into a set of years, meaning we cannot display only units from, for example, 2021. The page would need to show all units from 2023-2019.

  • Additional Properties - this list contains a variety of features and other specific specs that we can filter by. These can be useful for “lifestyle” pages, like “Family Campers” could utilize the filters for Sleeps to show only units that can fit a whole family.

  • Types - a pretty straightforward list of all types available to filter by on the site. Our standard Product pages utilize this function to choose a specific RV Type to filter by. Note that this selection can be inverted by clicking the “Invert Type Filter” checkbox below – If a dealer sells boats and RVs, for example, then you could select all available boat types and invert in order to show all RV types.

  • Lots - The various locations and lots that the dealer has can be selected here. Note that if no lots are checked off here, then all of them will show. There is no need to select lots unless you want only some of them to appear.

  • Filter by Featured/Special - These correspond to a check box the dealer can utilize on their inventory. The page will then only show units that have been checked as Featured or Special. Note that if you select both of these check boxes, the units that show will need to be checked as both as well.

  • Tags - this allows you to select a unit tag to filter by. There are a wide variety of standard tags for the dealer to choose from that allow them to indicate units with certain features and deals – but we can also create and upload custom ones for them as well, depending on their needs. Selecting a tag here will show units with that tag. This setting can be inverted as well (i.e., show all units that do NOT have the selected tag), but can cause issues, so it is not recommended.

  • RV Status - There are several statuses that can be utilized for inventory – this filter allows you to select them. Most pages will usually only show Active inventory, but some dealers may choose to use different statuses to display their On Order inventory or would like to have a page showing all their Sold inventory, etc.

  • Min/Max Price - Pretty straightforward – it will only show units that fall above the minimum or below the maximum prices set here. You do not have to set both. It takes both the regular and sales price into account when filtering, so keep that in mind.

  • Unit Age - This refers to how long the unit has been on the site. The number set is the maximum number of days that any unit on the page has been on the lot, so if you set it to 30, it would show any unit that has been added in the last month. There is not a way to adjust the start of this range (i.e., setting it to 30 means it will show units from 0-30 days, with no way to adjust the 0).

  • Default Sort Mode - This refers to the way the units will sort themselves on the page. Whatever you choose here will override whatever sort method was selected on the main site node. Some dealers will have multiple dropdown fields here – this is called Advanced Sort, and allows the dealer to further customize the order of their units.
There are many different options in this dropdown for how to sort the page, but please note that no matter what option is selected, the RV Type order in Registrations (Products > Registrations) will still take precedence. (For example, if you selected Price: Lowest First as your sort order, and your Registrations for RV Types indicated that you should see Travel Trailers and then Fifth Wheels, you would see ALL Travel Trailers from lowest to highest price first, followed by all Fifth Wheels from lowest to highest price.)
