Opening the Image Rotator to Edit
In ICC, navigate to the page containing the Image Rotator snippet that needs to be edited.
Click on “Edit ImageRotator”.
The ImageRotator options panel is now visible. Edit the options as needed, then click “submit” and “Save and Publish” to finalize the changes.
Settings to Edit
There are a variety of settings within the Image Rotator that can be edited or changed that are documented below.
Specific Slides
Within the slide, there are a variety of settings you can apply to the individual image. While the only required one is the Image Name, there are some use cases for the settings that follow.
Link URL
This decides where the image will go when clicked on. Although not all images need to have one, it is strongly recommended that any banner or image that advertises an event or deal link to inventory or some type of lead form to avoid confusion.
If the image has a link, this determines if that link will open in a new window. We should set this to “Yes” if the image links somewhere off-site. It is set to “No” by default, even though the dropdown appears blank.
Start Date
If you’d like to set a banner in place to start appearing at a certain time in the future, you can set the date here. Note that you cannot choose a time of day for this to appear, so if there is a specific time on that day that it needs to be added, this must be done manually. If a day is chosen for the banner to start, it will appear at 12:00 AM CT on that date.
End Date
Similarly to start date, you can choose a date for the banner to stop appearing on the site here. If a promotion ends on a certain date, for example, then it can be set to automatically stopped after that day passes. Similarly to the Start Date, you can not choose a time for it to stop displaying – it will automatically disappear at 11:59 PM CT on the date chosen.
Width & Height
This setting allows you to force dimensions on the image rotator. The rotator automatically changes to fit the images it has set up in it by default and works responsively in the browser, so this is not usually necessary to set up, and I recommend leaving it blank in most circumstances.
DisplayTime
This changes the length of time each slide displays for. If a dealer does not like the length of time between slides changing over, you can adjust this here. The default time between slides in 5 seconds. The time must be entered in milliseconds (i.e., 7.5 seconds between slides would be entered as 7500).
ShowPrevNextButtons
This determines whether or not the left and right arrows show up on the banner rotator. Some dealers prefer to have these show so users can flip between slides and others prefer to hide them. They are off by default.
ShowPager
This displays a small circle at the bottom of the slide for each slide in the list, allowing users to easily jump to a specific number of slide if desired, and see how many slides are in the rotator. This is off by default.
OpenInNewWindow
This will determine if the entire slider as a whole will force links to open in a new window. If you turn this on, you can override it for individual slides by selecting “No” on that slide’s Open In A New Window setting.

Transition
This allows you to choose what transition effect occurs between slides. There are several different options, some a little more distracting than others. It is set to “Fade” by default and most dealers prefer to keep it on that setting.
