All Dealer Spike writers must submit an image with every completed piece of content, as indicated in the Finished Content Template. Use the following resources to find an appropriate image for each completed article.
OEM Database
Use the OEM database when you need a specific image related to a manufacturer or model. You may also choose to use one of these photos for a more general piece, given that many of them are high quality and engaging.

Navigate to the product you want to feature
ALWAYS check the dealer’s inventory before choosing a unit to be sure it’s actually a product the dealer has in stock.
Once you’ve found the image you want, click on the image to enlarge it.
Then, right click > copy image address > paste it in the appropriate place on the Finished Content Template.
OEM Folder
Another place where you can find OEM images is the OEM Image Folder, used by the SEO team. Some of these folders organize these OEM images into icons and lifestyle images, often making for easier navigation. However, there are some OEMs not included in the folders, and you’ll have to go back to the database.

Use the tabs at the bottom to find the vertical you want, then look for the topic.
The first column denotes topics, the others each represent an image in that topic
Hover over the cell containing an image that might work for your piece to reveal the hyperlink.
If you’ve used this image before and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it’ll work for your piece, simply copy the hyperlink when it appears.
If you aren’t sure what the image looks like, open it in a new tab and decide if it’s appropriate for the piece you’re writing.
When you’ve found the right image, copy and paste the link to the image in the appropriate place on the Finished Content Template.
Royalty-free stock photos come from stock.adobe.com using a shared account to license images across the company.
Stock Adobe Instructions
To access the account, click on the “Sign In” button in the upper right-hand corner of the home page.
On the next page, log in using your microsoft sign-in credentials:
Email Address: yourfirstname.yourlastname@leadventure.com
Next, you’ll need to locate an image you wish to use and license unless the image has already been licensed.
To license a stock image:
Search for an appropriate image in the search bar.
After locating an image you want to license, click on the image to expand it.
Click on the blue “License” button.
This will download the image to your computer. You don’t need to do anything with the downloaded image.
If the image is already licensed, there will be a checkmark on the button and it will say “Licensed.” If this is the case, simply click on the image.
To search for an appropriate image that has already been licensed:
At the top of the page, click on the LeadVenture account dropdown menu and choose “License History.” This will take you to a page that lists all the images that have already been licensed.
Find an image you wish to use and click on the image ID number to go to a webpage that only has that image.
Once the image is licensed, navigate to a page that only contains that image by clicking on the account number on the bottom left hand side of the expanded image result.
Once you’re directed to the new page, copy the url at the top of the page.
Paste the url where it says “Image” in the Finished Content Template.
ILP Images
In cases of hyper-specific products, the options provided above may not yield viable options for you. If this is the case, you can download an image directly from a dealer’s site. This will require an additional extension.
Image Downloader Link and Instructions
Navigate to the ILP in question
Click on the product of the image you’d like to copy to navigate to the specific product page (this is how we can get a full-sized image as opposed to the smaller ones used on the ILP)
Click on the extension button at the top of your screen
Note on Responsible Use
This feature should only be used on client websites and preferably only when you absolutely can’t find anything else. I want to try and avoid any image copyright issues as much as possible, so do not use this tool to download images off of websites that Dealer Spike or ARI is not affiliated with.
