The dealer approval process occurs when the client has requested to approve their written content before publishing it on their website. The process begins when a card is moved into the Awaiting Dealer Approval column on the Dealer Spike Content Posting Board. The following automation takes place to initiate the process:
When a card is moved to list “Awaiting Dealer Approval” by anyone, Trello sends an email notification to the Account Manager (this information is contained as a custom field on the card).

The account manager will take the following actions:
Step 1 - Outreach
a. Follow the email link to the Trello card.
b. Download all content pieces by clicking File > Download > Choose a suitable format.
c. Send an email with the content pieces to client and ask for approval.

Step 2 - Approval
If client approves
a. Go back to the linked card on the Dealer Spike Content Posting Board
b. Comment “Client approves” on the card and save comment.
c. Proceeds to Step 3.
If client requests edits
a. Go back to the linked card on the Dealer Spike Content Posting Board.
b. Posts edit requirements on the comment section and save comment.
c. Move the card to the Issues to Resolve column.
The content writer makes the corrections requested and sends the card back to Awaiting Dealer Approval column.
d. Proceed to Step 3.
Step 3 - Publication
Once all corrections have been made, or if there are no corrections to be made, the account manager moves the card to the Content Ready for Publication column to be published.
