Link Structure Types

There are several link structure types in the above hyperlink to the Second Month Internal Link Structure guide. The preferred type for our websites is the Funnel.

  • Using Visio on Outlook, you will draw out a link structure for a client that filters their inventory from parent pages to child pages.

  • In Visio, create a new blank document using the Flowchart template. While in the blank flowchart template, use the shapes on the side window to draw out the link structure.

  • You can select certain symbols by clicking and dragging them onto your document.

  • Use squares to symbolize the top-level pages (parent pages) and diamonds to symbolize filtered inventory (child pages).

  • Examine the client's inventory to determine if you need to build your link structure by filtered vehicle types or by manufacturers.

  • Once you’ve built your link structure, save and download the image to send to the trainer.
