This is a guide that breaks down the first month tasks to complete for all clients beginning with the launch of our new SEO packages in September 2022. Reference this guide to know which tasks are fulfilled by the SEO rep and which tasks have been moved to Juniper for fulfillment.

IMPORTANT PROCESS CHANGES TO NOTE:

-SEO reps will no longer be responsible for creating an SEOMonitor account, creating any Trello cards, or creating Review Us & Testimonials pages (for clients w/Reputation Management); this will be Juniper’s responsibility moving forward.

-Account Managers will no longer be responsible for creating the client sheet and sharing it with the SEO rep; this will be Juniper’s responsibility moving forward.

SEO Rep Responsibilities

  • As soon as Juniper posts a new sales announcement in the New Sales chat, they will also create a client sheet and send it to the SEO rep assigned to the client. The SEO rep must complete target location research immediately and record the primary target location and additional target locations in the Client Info tab of the client sheet, then notify Juniper that target location research has been completed so that they can create the SEOMonitor account immediately following tracking tools setup.

  • Once the SEOmonitor account has been created by Juniper, the SEO rep is responsible for creating an initial keyword list for the client and adding it to their SEOMonitor account, as well as grouping the keyword accordingly in SEOMonitor.

  • Once the tracking tools and SEOMonitor account has been set up, SEO reps must complete a First Month Site Audit, which is broken down in our First Month Optimization Checklist. NOTE: the list of pages to edit has changed slightly, so make sure you are hitting all the pages in the checklist.

Juniper Responsibilities

  • Juniper will post a new sales announcement in the New Sales chat, then they will create a client sheet and send it to the SEO rep assigned to the client to get the target location information for the dealer.

  • Juniper will take care of setting up all the tracking and reporting tools and check off all the setup tasks detailed on the First Month Tasks Trello board:

  • Once tracking tools are set up and the SEO rep has filled out target location information on the client sheet, a Juniper rep will create the SEOMonitor account for the client.

First Month Fulfillment Tracking

  • This page will be linked to the monthly tracking sheet via the “First Month” labels in column A, and is to be used as a resource guide for the first month tasks needed to be completed by the SEO rep.

  • The task columns in the monthly sheet do not change for first month clients vs. older clients, but the SEO rep must complete slightly different tasks in order to fully check off some of these tasks.

    • In order to complete “On-Site Optimization”, the SEO rep must complete the full First Month Optimization page list, and record the homepage URL as the WD URL in the client sheet.

    • In order to complete “Keyword List Updated”, the SEO rep must create the initial keyword list, upload to SEOMonitor, and group the keywords within the account.
