Follow these steps to add the AEM Price Drop Feature. Note that you must ensure that there is a Customer Connections script in the head of the domain node in order for this feature to work properly. Reach out to AEM if you are unsure if the feature has been activated.

  1. In ICC, navigate to the site you intend to edit. Click on “Products” on the top left of the screen, then click on “Registrations” within the drop-down menu. If the account has multiple sites, skip to this section to edit the templates on a specific domain within the account.

  2. Click on multiple products to ensure that the site is using the same template for each product registration. If not, consult with the AM about which registrations to edit. Furthermore, check each product to determine if the dealer is using a custom or standard template. If the dealer is using the same template for each product, click on “bulk update item templates” in the top right of the screen.

  3. A pop-up form has just appeared. Select “Select All” in the product group.

    1. If the dealer is using the default templates - Apply the following settings:

      1. Detail Template - UnitDetailv2AEM.cshtml

      2. List Item Template - UnitListItemV2AEM.cshtml

    2. If the dealer is using custom templates - You will need to make edits to the dealer’s current custom templates in order to add the AEM Price Drop feature. Refer to this document.

  4. Click “Save” when finished.

  5. Click on “Websites” and “Content” in the toolbar at the top of ICC. Navigate to the page titled “dynamic-inventory-detail”. Navigate to the “advanced” tab and add “pricedrop” to the “Button Layout” field. Click “Save and Submit”.

  6. Add styling to the site’s stylesheet to ensure that the buttons match the site’s style.

  7. The price drop feature should now be added on SRPs and VDPs.
