Post call notes with Ellen:

...

Currently, SEO training for the AM team goes as follows; a new hire is onboarded and goes through a short SEO fundamentals course (in the midst of all of the other digital marketing training). Then they're introduced to SEO training resources once. It’s up to the AMs to recheck the materials in their own time after that. All in all, there doesn't seem to be a system in place to have AMs consistently review SEO documentation. However, there are knowledge checks when trainer/team leads sit in on AM calls. If an AM is unable to explain certain sections of the report, etc., a retraining about that topic will occur.

Main training needs of the AM team: reporting numbers and intake info.

  • What do reporting metrics mean? Why are certain focuses selected?

  • Intake calls: what information is needed and what the purpose is for needing that information.

Glossary of SEO terminology:

...

Create/update report training

AMs unable to fully explain each metric on reports nor elaborate on monthly focuses/campaign decisions.

AMs

Create/update intake talk track

AMs need to know the purpose of why we need the information we ask for on intake calls.

AMs

Create/udpate SEO glossary

AMs are not aware of all of our SEO terminology, which would be very useful to know for communication with SEO reps and clients.
