This page is a list of the available short codes that can be added via the CMS to any page to help provide SEO driven content. Short codes allow us to apply dealer content from the control panel to the induvial web pages so that we do not have to manual type in things such as dealer name, lot locations, etc.
For any short code, it is pulling the data from the dealers account in the control panel only. The short codes do not work from what is selected in the CMS. (i.e. for [DealerLocation] it does not matter what lots are selected on that page with in the CMS, only from the lots selected at the domain level)
Short Code | Description |

[DealerName] | This applies the dealer name via the Domain Description field |
[DealerLocation] | This short code has logic built into it. This is pulling the dealer location information from the lots that are selected in the domain screen. Multiple Cities within 1 State We display cities and the single state on the page, unless its greater than 4 cities in a state, then just use state. Short Codes For 2 use: [#DealerCity1] and [#DealerCity2], [#DealerState] | [#DealerName] Short Codes For 2-3 use: [#DealerCity1], [#DealerCity2], and [#DealerCity3], [#DealerState] | [#DealerName] Short Codes For 4+ use: [#DealerState] | [#DealerName] Multiple Cities with 2 or More States We drop the city names from the page and only display the states. Short Codes For 2 use: [#DealerState1] and [#DealerState2] | [#DealerName] Short Codes For 2-3 use: [#DealerState1], [#DealerState2], and [#DealerState3] | [#DealerName] Short Codes For 4+: The system will select 4 states by random, it cannot be controlled. NOTE: For those larger dealers with many lot locations you will still have to overwrite the short code and manually add what they want to display for their SEO. |
