It's possible to add custom page titles and custom HTML titles to search results pages. Here's how you do it:
Please Note: You must be a Dealer Administrator in order to make these configurations.
- In the ARI CMS, go to Admin > Account > Components
- Scroll to the Search Component (NOT the Search Bar Component) and click the gear icon
- Under the area labeled Custom SRP Titles, you can make the following configurations...
- Global Title: An entry into this field will be used as the Search Page's default HTML and Page title
- When left blank the HTML and Page titles as defined for the Search Page under Page Management are used
Add Custom Title:
Enter the title for the page, as you want it to display on the sitemap (Example: John Deere Riding Mowers)
- Enter the RELATIVE URL for the page. (Example: /search/inventory/brand/John%20Deere/class/Riding)
- Note: The RELATIVE URL is the link to the page MINUS your domain name and TLD
- Example: If the page URL is www.yourdomain.com/search/inventory/brand/John%20Deere/class/Riding, remove www.yourdomain.com from that path before pasting it into the field
- Note: The RELATIVE URL is the link to the page MINUS your domain name and TLD
- Click the green + button
- Repeat steps a through c for each page that you wish to add
- Global Title: An entry into this field will be used as the Search Page's default HTML and Page title
- Once done, scroll down and select Save
- Publish Changes. The additional page references will be added to both your Sitemap page and your website's XML sitemap.
