How does this migration impact reporting?

Reporting itself will be unchanged. To make the Accuranker to NinjaCat connection we will need to add each customer to the CDP and add their accuranker ID. Dev should be able to update the CDP for all current customers to include the Accuranker IDs.

Who is creating setup documentation?

Grant is creating customer setup documentation for configuration in Accuranker. Dev will be able to provide the setup steps for CDP.

How will teams be trained on using Accuranker?

We will train them. This team will need to update our current documentation, learn how to use the tool and run a training session for the DS/ARI and ND teams combined(IRV will be included for visibility).

How will tracking from multiple locations be changing?

Initially, we will not change that. Separate accounts for each location will be imported from SEOMonitor. The Dev team will use the same account/location for their CDP mapping as the one currently used in SEOMonitor. Once reports are updated to support multi-location tracking we can merge the separate accounts per website into a single account with multiple locations. Reps should NOT track keywords under a single account for multiple locations until reporting has been updated to include multi-location.

Will we still have Groups of keywords like in SEOMonitor?

Yes, ish. In Accuranker we will use Tags instead. SEOMonitor keyword Groups will be mapped to tags during the import.

Who will onboard users, now? Go forward?

Dev will mass update the CDP and Accuranker will perform a mass import. We will likely have some post migration tasks to complete as well. Go forward we will continue to follow the same setup process we follow today just swapping Accuranker for SEOMonitor.

Can we have Canadian clients set to Canadian English in the import due to spelling differences in the keywords?

Settings to Configure

  • Connect GSC and Google Analytics - Each Domain

    • Search for the domain

    • Click the domain name in the list

    • Once the dashboard loads, you will see two buttons at the top of the dashboard, next to the orange "+ Add Keywords" button.

      • Connect to Analytics

        • Click "Connect to Analytics" then select "Google Analytics".

        • Select the "DS GA4 Viewer Account - (google.analytics.4@dealerspike.com)" account from the dropdown. Click "Select Connection".

        • Click the checkbox labeled "Select all" then click "Select Account".

        • Using the dropdown, search for the correct domain and select it and click "Select Property"

        • Done

      • Connect to Search Console

        • Click the "Connect to Search Console" button.

        • Select the corresponding account for the domain. You can check the client sheet or digital marketing profile in Salesforce.

        • Using the dropdown, search for the correct domain and select it.

        • Click "Select Domain"

  • Keyword Table Settings - Each Domain

    • Once you've selected the domain, click on the "Keywords" tab next to the "Overview" landing page tab.

    • Let it load -- click on the button labeled "Table Settings" next to the orange "+ Add Keywords" button.

    • First click "Check All", (optional - will make the table easier to use) then unselect each of the following:

      • Domain

      • Search Intent

      • Description

      • Age

      • Date Created

  • Check Each Domain's Settings

    • Locate & Add GBP Name for Tracked Location

      • Navigate to the website and search in the main nav, footer, about, and map pages for a link to their Google Business Profile.

      • Once you have found them on Google, you will want to copy and paste the name into the field in domain settings

        • Open the domain and click the "Settings" tab

        • Under "General Settings", you will see a button labeled "Edit Domain", click it.

        • Take the copied business name from their Google Business Profile and paste it into the Google Business Profile field and hit enter.

    • Default Search Engine, Locale and Location (Seems like this only makes adding keywords less cumbersome in the future)

      • Make sure country and tracked locations are correct in the keyword list for each account. We will likely need reps to do this in the normal course of business throughout the month of February.

        • Open the domain and click the "Settings" tab

        • Under "General Settings", you will see a button labeled "Edit Domain", click it.

        • In the box under the label "Default Search Engine, Locale and Location" you will see three sections and we will be editing each. Click the "✏️ Edit" button in the top right corner of the box and edit the following:

          • Country locale

            • Select US or Canada depending on location of the dealership - This will affect some spelling

          • Search engines

            • For now, we will only be focused on Google Mobile. Make sure all others are deselected

          • Locations

            • Time to add in some additional locations for the domain, you can add multiple here, I would use the target locations from intake. You can reference the client sheets or new intake in Salesforce

  • Remove Desktop Keyword Variants

    • Navigate to the domain using the search bar on the top-left

    • Once loaded, click the "Keywords" tab and now we're going to add a filter.

    • Click the "+ Add Filter" button right above the keywords tab in the white box.

    • In the search bar, type "Device Type" and select "Desktop" from the drop-down menu.

    • You should see all of the keywords in the table are listed as "Desktop" with the filter active.

    • Next, click the orange checkbox in the top left corner of the table's title row.

    • If you are making a selection larger than 100, you will see a yellow banner appear with a blue link to "Select all keywords that match your filter", click it.

    • Once the selection has been made, you will see a couple of new options appear above the table: Edit and Delete

      • Click "🗑️ Delete"

      • Then click "Delete keywords" from the drop-down menu.

      • A pop-up will appear and make you wait 3 seconds and ask if you're sure. Click "Yes".

    • Remove your filter to see the desktop variants gone OR move on to the next domain in your list and you don't have to re-apply your filters.
