Add Watermark
This article will cover how to add a watermark to a dealer’s website. While every dealer should launch with a watermark already implemented, sometimes dealers want to change them out to something different.
Filetype & Dimensions
The file for a watermark must be a PNG named watermark.png (or, for naming conventions for dealers with multiple domains in the same folder, see Multiple Locations section below).
The logo should fit within a 300x300px box. Some dealers may choose to shorten the height of this box for a horizontal logo to keep it closer to the bottom corner of the photo, but it should not be any taller than 300px, and the width should always be 300px.
Adding to the CDN
To add a watermark to an account with a single domain, use Filezilla to add an image file named “watermark.png” to the images folder inside the domain’s main folder in the CDN (https://assets-cdn.interactcp.com/). This can only be completed if you have FTP access to the CDN.
Example:
So, in this example (AC Nelsen), we would navigate to AC Nelsen’s CDN folder, and then put the file in the “images” folder. Similarly, for other dealers, we would go to that dealer’s CDN folder, find the “images” folder, and then put the watermark file directly in that dealer’s images folder.
Filezilla will prompt you as to whether or not you should “overwrite” the image when you upload a new one. We should say yes, as we are overwriting the watermark file that is already there.
Dealers with Multiple Domains
If there are multiple domains on an account, the file must be named “watermark_{NAME}_{DOMAIN_EXTENSION}.png”. For example, https://www.texasrvandhorsetrailer.com/ has two other domains on its account, so the watermark would be named “watermark_texasrvandhorsetrailer_com.png”.
Clearing the Cache
When you have uploaded the new watermark, refresh the unit photo CDN cache to ensure that it shows on the unit photos properly. Note that populating the image to all units may take several hours, and that it is not uncommon to see the old watermark on some units and the new watermark on other units for a brief period of time until the cache fully refreshes.
