Website Cancellation Checker
Since PowerBI does not aggregate website cancellation CR and digital marketing CR, we have created a Website Cancellation Checker to help us compare the two data sets.
What data sets?
The first data set is the one you exported from the PowerBI Cancellation/Churn Data instructions. If you do not know how to export data from PowerBI, please read those instructions before proceeding.
The second data set will be same settings with only Website Cancel product selected.
Exporting the Data
Export these two sets of data as you normally would by hovering your cursor over the table beneath the filters. Name them accordingly: DigMSCancels.xlsx and WebsiteCancels.xlsx
Using the Calculator
Open up the Website Cancellation Checker.
DigMSCancels.xlsx: Copy columns D (Customer Key) and E (Account) and paste it in columns A and B of Digital Marketing tab in the checker.
WebsiteCancels.xlsx: Copy columns D (Customer Key) and E (Account) and paste it in columns A and B of Website tab in the checker.
Analyzing the Data
Once both sets of data are in place, you will see something that looks like this throughout column C of the Digital Marketing tab.
Here, we used the VLOOKUP formula to see if there’s a match between the two sets of data. A return of the customer key number (NS_xxxxxxx) means that the account also appears as a website product cancellation for the month, while #N/A means that the account is simply a digital marketing product cancellation.
Final Step: Letting People Know
Now it’s time to let the directors know by either highlighting each account that is a match on the data sheet you will be sending over. Let your directors know that highlighted rows are also website cancellations!
