Creating A Growth Project PowerPoint Deck
Each Digital Marketing Growth Project meeting requires a separate PowerPoint deck. Every file mentioned in this document can be found in the DigMs Growth Project Deck & Data folder.
If you are to work on the deck numbers, you may send the deck & data over before you edit the PowerPoint slides. Other people’s edits are not dependent on your work on the deck, but they are dependent on the PowerBI data that you have created.
Creating the Deck
Please make a copy of the deck template (located in the Decks folder)before you begin working on it, and ensure that you are working on the copy before you make changes.
Move the copy to the Decks > YYYY folder.
Name the file “DigMS Cancellations Analysis - Month YYYY.pptx”
Sending the Deck & Data

Editing the slides
You will have more editing capabilities if you use the App version of PowerPoint. To open the App, open up the deck in your browser and select Editing > Open in Desktop App.
Remember that you’re creating the deck for the data from the previous month. If you’re working on February 1, you will replace the placeholders with “January”.
Go to Cancellation Request Overview - New - Monthly CR DMS Product Summary tab.
At the top right, change the time criteria to Last | 13 | Months (Calendar)
Change Request Save Status and Is Competitor Sister Company? filters should both be unselected.
Scroll down to Digital Marketing Summary and hover your cursor over the section. You should now see 3 dots at the top right corner of the section. Click it and select Share > Open in PowerPoint. A link window will pop up.
Click Copy to copy this link.
How many clients did we have last month?
The total number of active clients in the previous month is required to approximate the percentage of cancellations. This number will go in column C for each Digital Marketing service. Ideally, you would capture this information before deactivating project services for the month.
We export this data from Dynamics365.
In the Digital Marketing instance of Dynamics365, click Project Services on the left.
You will use filters to assist with the total counts. These are the columns you will edit:
At the bottom left of the table, the total number of projects is the number of clients that we’re currently working on last month.
