Fluency: Activating Budget Management
- Before working in Fluency, go into Google Ads and disable any active budget scripts.
- Google Ads > Tools & Settings > Scripts > Disable
- Login to Fluency.
- Navigate to the Manage page in Fluency.
- Find your account and click on the name.
- Ensure that the "Approved Account Budget Amount" is the correct total monthly budget.
- This will be what the account will actually spend. So if they have a $1000 budget with a 30% management fee, the "Approved Account Budget Amount" will be $700.
- On the 'Basic' page, check the box for ""Enable Overspend Protection." This will pause the whole account when the monthly spend reaches the Approved Account Budget Amount.
- Also on the "Basic" page, find the "Mode" option.
- If the Mode option says "Read Only", click on the bar to change it to "Fluency Managed".
- Once the "Fluency Managed" option is selected, check the Account Budget and the Applied Budget at the top of the page. Both numbers should match.
- If the numbers don't match, go to the 'Budgets' tab and ensure the budget is set up correctly. If it isn't, please see the page on Changing Budgets in Fluency.
- If the Account Budget and Applied Budget do match and the budgets under the 'Budgets' tab are set up the way that you want them, then you're done! Congrats!
