Fluency: Creating a New Budget
To create a new budget in Fluency:
- Navigate to the Budgets tab and click the green plus sign on the right side of the page to create a new budget.
- Enter a budget name at the top of the page.
- Select a pacing strategy.
- "Even" is the easiest and most common strategy.
- Check the boxes for:
- "Pause Campaigns When Exhausted"
- Notify When Paused
- Click "Save" at the top right.
- Once the Budget has been created, navigate back to the "Budgets" page.
- Click on the amount in the "Budget" column to change the amount.
Check that the budget is applied to the correct campaigns.
If the budget says 0/1 or 0/2 this means that the budget does not have any ACTIVE campaigns applied. One or more campaigns on the budget are paused.
Double click on a budget and click the “campaigns” tab to see which campaigns are on the selected budget.
If campaigns are active on the budget it should show 1/1 or 2/2 under campaigns on the “budgets” tab.
- Turn the "Prorate" option off, unless the client wants to prorate their budget for the month (this will be infrequent).
- Repeat steps 1-9 for any additional budgets you'd like to create. Save the changes and check that the applied budget amount matches the actual budget amount.
- If they match, you're done!
- If they don't match, go to the "Budgets" tab and click on the budget amount. There should be an option in green to adjust the budget a certain amount to balance the applied and actual account budget.
- Ex: If the actual budget is $100 but the applied budget amounts are $95, there will be an option to increase a budget by $5 to make them balanced.
