Updating Blog Articles

Once our Juniper team uploads our blog articles, we need to go back through to add images and site links.

You'll know an article has been posted when the request card is sitting in the "Completed MA Requests" column on the New Content Trello board.

To access the blog, head to your dealer's admin panel

Click on the Content tab and select Manage Blog

Find the article you want to edit and hit the "edit blog" button

Adding an Image

Finding an Image

Open up the OEM Image Library and find a manufacturer that your dealer carries

Scroll to find the vehicle type your article is about and look for an action shot or image that reflects the content of the article. Avoid product detail images (the pictures with white backgrounds) at all costs.

Download the image to your computer

Upload the image

Select the image upload button on the Blog edit page

Once your image is uploaded, select the banner view.

The whole image you upload will show as a thumbnail on the blog list page and the banner will show up at the top of the article page. Make sure you keep focus on the unit or action that is taking place.

We want to make sure that users have an easy way to navigate from the blog page to relevant pages on the site

Head to the bottom of the article and put two line breaks after the final sentence

Center the text and increase the font size to the 2nd-largest size

As you title each of your links, put a | between each one to help differentiate

What is a good link? Some examples of articles and relevant links:

  • How to choose an ATV
    • New ATVs | Used ATVs
    • or
    • Honda ATVs | Polaris ATVs
  • Where to ride your Harley-Davidson®
    • New Harley-Davidson® Motorcycles | Used Harley-Davidson® Motorcycles

You can always ask yourself "Once a user lands on this page, what do I want them to do after reading the article?"

Here's what the final product should resemble:

After that, be sure to save your article and view it on the website to make sure the images and buttons are formatted properly and look nice.

Once we can confirm it looks how we want, head back to the New Content Trello board and move the card to the "MA Content Posted" column.
