How do I configure my website to send web orders to my c-Systems Infinity dealer management system?

The following instructions will help you configure your website to automatically send web order information to your c-Systems Infinity dealer management system. The two major steps to complete this task are:

  1. Create an account inside your Command Center that will be dedicated for use only by your Infinity system.
  2. Enter the account credentials and your website URL into Infinity.

Step-by-Step guide

Create an account dedicated to your Infinity system:

  1. From inside your Command Center, click on Users > Edit Accounts.
  2. Click the Add Account button.
  3. Complete the following fields:
    1. Username: Create a username that matches this format: dealername_csystems. (e.g. arrowheadps_csystems). It is ok to abbreviate your dealer name, as long as you remember the abbreviation.
    2. Password: Create a strong password of at least 8 characters that includes both letters and numbers.
    3. Confirm Password: Enter the password a second time.
      1. Important: Be sure to remember the Username and Password you create, as you will need them in later steps. Write them down by hand or copy them into a note file temporarily so you can access them again.
    4. First Name: Enter c-Systems in this field.
    5. Last Name: Enter Infinity in this field.
    6. Email Address: Enter a unique email address you want to use for this account. It is important to use an email address that you have access to, but not one that is associated to other accounts on your website. The email address you enter here will be used to reset the password on this account in the event that your credentials are lost.
  4. Click the Add Account button at the bottom of this screen to save the new account.
  5. Navigate to Site Content > Configuration > Location Information.
    1. If your site only has a single store location, copy the name listed in the Location Name field on this screen. Add it to your notes with the Username and Password from the steps above.
    2. If your site has multiple store locations, copy each of the names listed in the Location Name column on this screen. Add each name to your notes with the Username and Password from the steps above.
  6. In the upper-right hand corner, click the User drop-down menu and click Logout.
  7. On the login screen, enter your new Username and Password and click Login.
  8. Review and accept the user agreement.
  9. Once you have successfully logged in, you can be assured that your new credentials work properly. 
  10. Important: In the upper-right hand corner, click the User drop-down menu and click Logout. This account should only be used exclusively by your Infinity system from now on.

 

Enter the new account credentials into your Infinity system:

  1. From the Navigation Pane, select System Configuration > Configuration.
  2. Select the 3rd Party Interfaces tab.
  3. Select Web Ordering.
  4. In the Dealer URL field, enter the full address of your website (e.g. http://www.dealerdomain.com). You must include http:// in the URL.
  5. In the User Name field, enter the Username you created in your Command Center for the Infinity system (step 3a in the section above, e.g. dealername_csystems).
  6. In the Password field, enter the Password you created in your Command Center for the Infinity system (step 3b in the section above).
  7. Click the Details button.
  8. On the Online Location tab, enter the Location Name value(s) you retrieved from your Command Center into the Online Location Key Name fields for any associated Infinity locations (step 5a or 5b in the section above).
  9. On the Manufacturer Codes tab, you'll need to map all of the product brands you have available on your ARI website to Infinity Line Codes from your Infinity system. This is a one-time configuration that will ensure that products ordered on your ARI website will properly map to items in your Infinity system. If not completed, imported web orders will cause an error and will not import until the required mapping is complete.
    1. Towards the bottom of the Manufacturer Codes tab, you'll see a Manufacture Code drop-down menu and an Infinity Line Code drop-down menu.
    2. Select a brand that you offer on your ARI website form the Manufacture Code list on the left, then select the appropriate Infinity Line Code to map this brand from the drop-down on the right.
    3. Click Add.
    4. Repeat this process for every brand you offer on your ARI website.
    5. Important Note: If a brand is listed twice in the left-hand list, you need to map both entries to ensure that all products from that line are properly mapped.
  10. Once you have mapped all Manufacture Codes available on your ARI website to an Infinity Line Code, click OK.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Close the System Configuration tab. Your Infinity system is now configured to import web orders processed via your ARI website!
