False Takedown Requests

Salesforce will generate takedown fulfillment requests in the cases of upgrades, downgrades, swaps, exchanges, and billing cleanup purposes as well. If you have discovered that your takedown fulfillment request is not a true cancellation, you must close it out before it reaches your team. Here’s how to do it.

In this example, the notes from sales indicate a SKU swap.

Step 4: Select Status: Closed, Closure Reason: Not Applicable and click Save.

Step 5: In the Basic Information section, fill out the following sections:

  • Fulfillment Detail Stage: Complete

  • Product: Select the product that matches the fulfillment type

  • Status: Closed

  • Closure Reason: Declined

Step 6: In the Fulfillment Description field under the Fulfillment Request Details section, write a short summary of the closeout reason.

There is no need to assign this fulfillment request to anyone on your team. It is now closed, never to be seen again.
