There is an integrated Blog Tool available to all ARI Responsive Websites. This feature allows ARI CMS users to create and publish blog posts on dealer websites. This help article describes how the tool is enabled for each dealer account.

Requirement: In order to enable the Blog Tool, your ARI CMS user account must have one of the following roles assigned.

  • Administrator

  • Internal – Admin

  • Internal – Squidex Admin

Setup Instructions

  1. Log into ARI CMS, then go to Resources > Content Editors

  2. Select New App. Enter the dealer’s Facility ID as the App name, then select Create.

  3. Open the App that you’ve just created. Select Schemas, then click the Add (+) button.

  4. Enter blog as the Schema name.

  5. Click on the Blog schema link, then select Create.

  6. Log into the dealer’s ARI CMS account, and go to Admin > Account

  7. Scroll down the page to Content Editor Settings, then select Editor Toggles.

  8. Select Blog Tool, then select Update

  9. Return to the Account page, and select the Components link for the applicable dealer site.

  10. Select Marketplace on the Configure Components screen, then select Components.

  11. Find the Blog component, add it to cart and check out.

  12. Return to the Account page, and select the Components link for the applicable dealer site.

  13. Scroll to the Blog component. Select + Add a new Blog Tool component instance

  14. Click the gear icon for the Blog component

  15. Add a page rule to have the component display exclusively on the Blog page. Select Save Settings.

    1. Note: If the account has a Rows template website, add a section rule of Main Content

  16. Go to Site > Pages

  17. Find Blog in the page list and open that page

  18. Check the box labeled Active, then select Save.

  19. Return to the Account page, and select the Layouts link for the applicable dealer site.

  20. In Layout Manager, select the page layout that is assigned to the Blog page.

    1. Note: If the account has a Rows template website, add the Blog component to the Main Content section of the default template.

  21. Within the Main Content section, add the Blog component. Publish changes. The feature should now be enabled.
